But really, it was pretty amazing-- I worked myself into the ground and learned so much! There were ups and downs, which was to be expected, but the biggest up (apart from all the great people that I met) was a class I took on computer programming (for artists/animators). Let's just say that I love interactivity! I had a class gallery opening the last week of school, and it was really great to see people interact with my piece (Painting with Sound) and the greatest part was talking with people after and during and getting their feedback. Basically, I love the installation/gallery experience because I really got to connect with my audience and meet even more amazing people (more so than in a traditional film screening setting). Furthermore, if any of you want to paint with sound, just let me know and we can figure something out (since I can only run it off my computer).
And thus the ironies of an art school: I almost feel more inspired now than during the year! Though this may be attested to certain factors that will be out of my life next year. I'm happy though, because I ended up learning more than I thought! Hopefully I'll get my scanner up and running and be able to post some of the non-photo art that I have been working on.
What else is new... nothing much! It is summer indeed, and that means art, design, and freelance! Woo hoo!
Hope you're all having a restful start to your summers/summery adventures!
